In the 1970s Neil and Maria Empson we busy buying, restoring, and selling high end Ferraris and Maseratis. However, a trip to Milan changed everything when the pair realized that few, if any, of the wonderful wines they were tasting ever reached the merchants abroad.

Bernabei consults or has consulted for top wineries located from Tuscany to Friuli, via Marche, Umbria, Veneto, Trentino, and as far south as Apulia, Calabria, Sardinia. The collaboration with Neil and Maria for the Bollini Brand starts in 2009.
